A lace front wig or a lace wig is a unique kind of wig or hairpiece that has a pure lace base. This kind of hairpiece is made either with synthetic hair or human hair and is tied up by hand to the utter lace base. A full lace wig generally has a base made completely of lace whereas a lace front wig has a sheer lace just at front where hairline is noticeable.
The remaining portion of the hairpiece is made of a less delicate stuff, which is not so vulnerable to tearing or ripping than lace. The full lace wigs may be pulled to a high plait and up-do’s, as against the lace front hairpieces. Lace lies only in front half of the hair extension. This allows the wearer to part hair the way she likes. However, if the lace front wigs are pulled to a plait, it will become very obvious that it’s a hair extension.
Lace wigs are generally glued with the help of tapes and glues that are used on the area of front hairline. After the glue dries up, the front pace part of the hair extension gets attached to the region where glue has been put on hairline. This creates a firm bond allowing to keep the lave wig in its place on head.
A lace front wig sometimes has a baby hair. These baby hairs are usually seen in the region of the temple portions that is used for covering up the evident indications of lace on forehead. They even help in creating a natural hairline. After being applied for once, the lace wig will surely stay attached for a week at least.
